Using the Currently Stamp Set

Last June, we debuted the first two original Life Documented Manila Stamp Sets: the Choose Happy Stamp Set, and the Currently Stamp Set

It’s been a while since we posted our collective answers to the Currently Journal Challenge Currently Stamp Set. To say that “Oh, we’ve been busy” will be a total lie on our part. We’re trying to fix our editorial calendar so the blog will have regular posts again.

One reason why we decided to produce a clear stamp version of “Currently” is because we wanted to be able to use it (in Ch’s awesome hand lettering) in different ways. It was released last year, as one of LDM’s first original freebies in  printable card format. We recognized and acknowledged that some people may want to use different prompts, use different ink colors, or want to use elsewhere, not just on 3×4 cards. Ch also included an updated version of “Currently” with her lettering, as well as two other versions, and more prompts.

Today, I’m sharing some examples of how I used the Currently Stamp Set.

I love that the set is pretty versatile, and I can use it in my Project Life album and other personal projects.

DIY CARDS FOR POCKET SCRAPBOOKING

I stamped on blank 3×4 cards, for easy inclusion in my PL album. There are days when I only want to answer a few prompts. If I used the printable cards, I’d have to leave some of the prompts blank, or think of something just fill it up. Having a few prompts on a card also allows me to elaborate on my answers, on days when I have more to say.

I can also stamp the prompts in my journal, for easier journal writing.

More stamping samples! This time, I stamped on existing 3×4 cards from the Becky Higgins Project Life brand. I think this is a good way to use cards with designs you don’t love 100%.

BOOKMARK + JOURNAL CARD

I shared this photo on Instagram, where I used a printable journal card as a bookmark. It also became an instant journal card to write notes (or memorable passages and quotes) about the book.

This time, I just stamped what I call “Currently in a box” on top of a 3×4 card (from the Midnight edition).

Here’s the same card used as a bookmark in my small planner:

“DECORATING” PLANNERS

I know that more people have jumped on the planner craze now, and planner junkies worldwide use all sorts of materials to decorate their planners. I’m not much of a planner decorator, mostly restricting myself to “flat” embellishments. I lean more towards using stamps, stickers, and washi.

USE IN A TRAVELER’S NOTEBOOK (TN)

Earlier, I mentioned using the prompts in the stamp set on my journal. Here’s a sample from a page in my Traveler’s Notebook. I didn’t want to use any prompts, so I just used the ‘Currently’ stamp in Ch’s second lettering style.

HOW ABOUT YOU?

How are you using the Currently stamp set? If you haven’t gotten one for yourself, how and where do you plan to use it? Don’t forget: GET ONE NOW WHILE IT’S STILL ON SALE!
