Around here… there has been a lack of creative time when it comes to my own PL album. I don’t have any completed spreads from the past two months. It’s not like I haven’t been doing anything at all. If you follow me on Instagram you might have seen my posts showing my #30Lists, and various supplies, but very little about my PL.
I continue to collect photos and memorabilia for my PL but lately I’ve been having an internal conflict regarding what I create and what I share. At workshops we say that if something matters to you, go ahead and document it! Yet, recently I’ve been feeling like shrinking into a tiny ball or hiding somewhere when it’s my turn to share. I’ve always been pretty private, frequently blurring faces and text in my spreads, but as LDM’s following grows, the less comfortable I feel with sharing my work. I keep thinking, “I’m doing this for myself, but… hundreds of other people will see it.” So…that plus maybe ten other things are bothering me. Maybe I’m just overthinking, or this is just a phase, but until I feel differently, these spreads I share today will be the last on the blog.
Moving on, here’s a spread from early 2014.
JAN 27 – FEB 2, 2014
PARDON THE GLARE, I DIDN’T GET TO TAKE OUT THE CARDS AND PHOTOS OUT OF THE PAGE PROTECTOR.
This week was fun and tiring! Mid-week I met up with Anna whom I haven’t seen since her wedding (I think). It was fun to catch up and also talk about Project Life!
I attended Graphika Manila with Liz and Pinky (spot our new “friends” in the photo, haha). I kept the free stickers and included it in one pocket. The event ticket was adhered on a t-shirt tag — Team Manila produced the exclusive t-shirts and I bought one.
After the event, I hurried to another end of town for my gig that weekend.
LEFT THE PAGE LIKE THIS BECAUSE I LACKED SQUARE PHOTOS AT FIRST. I PRINTED THEM AFTER, BUT MISPLACED THEM SO… THE SQUARE PIECES OF PAPER ARE STILL THERE.
I remember reading #makeitpublicmakeithappen from one of Elise’s Instagram posts. So in the spirit of finishing a spread in progress, here’s a peek at an incomplete spread from August.
I just slipped things here and there, so let’s see how the final spread will turn out.

Our September workshop is already full, but we will also be hosting a crop party this Saturday from 2-5 PM. If you’d like to work on your current project while in the company of other memory-keepers, or if you want to try using supplies you don’t have onhand, or if you just want to talk about scrapbooking with us, join the party! Hey, if you’re stuck in a rut like me, this event may just be a good way to jump start your creative energy.
