Every Monday, we share the ‘right now’ of our lives. Play along with us by using the printable we made and tagging us on Instagram (#ldmcurrently)! The free printable can be downloaded through instructions found here.
CH: Product Design for the Web by Randy J. Hunt. I need to be better about finishing books before I start new ones, but… 😀
Yam: The Interestings by Meg Wolitzer.
Pinky: The Vacationers by Emma Straub. It’s the second book I’ve read (in a row, no less) where the characters go on vacation in Spain — the other one is Wallbanger by Alice Clayton. I actually liked that one, though it’s definitely NSFW/R-18. Not surprised to discover it started out as Twilight fanfiction and got published in its entirety, just with changed names.
CH: Nothing yet, but just got a copy of the Sign Painters movie. Looking forward to all the beautiful, beautiful type <3
Yam: old episodes of Suits with my brother. His laptop still had battery left the day after the typhoon hit, so we were able to watch a couple of episodes.
Pinky: this awesome video by the duo behind “What does the Fox Say” where they pretend to be an ‘voice-activated’ elevator and talk to the elevator riders in different languages. Impressive and made of comedy gold! It’s a long video but definitely worth watching.
Currently… listening to:
CH: Spotify’s “sleep” playlist is pretty great. Knocked me out in minutes!
Yam: Beck’s Morning Phase album. You may have heard the lead single off the album, Blue Moon.
Pinky: back to my handy ‘Productivity’ playlist composed of Ed Sheeran + Taylor Swift + One Direction. Really need to get in the zone at work and I’m grateful this playlist does the trick EVERY TIME.
CH: to clear my mind! Maybe I should take up meditation.
Yam: to sleep least 8 hours straight! Wasn’t able to sleep properly the night before Typhoon Rammasun (local name Glenda) passed, and until power was restored in my part of the city almost three days later.
Pinky: to find another recipe as easy and delicious as Ina Garten’s roasted tomato basil soup recipe (as recommended by Chrissy Teigen). I’ve made it twice now for family and it’s been a huge hit. Can’t cook to save my life, so knowing I have a dish up my sleeve is enormously gratifying.
CH: The Renegade Craft Fair that’s in SF this week. I’m currently low on funds so it’ll be extra hard to see all the stationery / crafts / art for sale — I’ll have to be extra picky!
Yam: the Shawarma Bros! Managed to catch the truck this weekend.
Pinky: that I was able to watch the ADMU-DLSU game on short notice. This year I don’t have time to line up for tickets, unlike previous years when I’d go to Ateneo in the middle of the night just to get in line. I guess it’s true what they say, true fans will always find tickets somehow. 🙂 It was a good game, too, with plenty of opportunities for both sides to show off their talent.
A small reminder that our shop is currently closed, but keep watching for an announcement soon about new things coming your way. <3 We’re doing a giveaway in the meantime – check out our instagram @lifedocumentedmanila!
